For spring 2004, Marc Jacobs ultilizes a sea of grey and beige for his women RTW collection. Some of the time the grey, beige or taupe look expensive looking dependant on the fabric used and the cutting, but it can also be so deadly dull and drab. The intuition of colour has a great relationship to the texture of the fabric used.
To sum up the fashion colours for spring 2004, the fabric palette is made up of camouflage green, khaki, sapphire blue, greys, burnt yellow and also beign. These kind of mineral colour made the collection looks natural.
Colour wheel:
Applying the colour theory, triadic color scheme is used that three colors equally spaced around the color wheel. This scheme is popular among artists because it offers strong visual contrast while retaining balance, and color richness. Although the triadic scheme is not as contrasting as the complementary scheme, it looks more balanced and harmonious. The total look of the collection is low with contrast since the designer subdues the whole set of garments by decreasing the brightness.
